After breakfast, take a bus to the Huangshu Tree Scenic Area, a 5A level national scenic spot in Anshun. (You need to transfer to an eco-friendly bus at the scenic area, which costs 50 yuan per person and 10 yuan per person for insurance.)
Visit Huangguoshu Waterfall (approximately 2 hours). The Baling River Bridge Museum is the largest museum in China and the only one in Guizhou Province that focuses on bridges. Understand the knowledge of different Guizhou bridges and establish awareness of various types of bridges. Day 3 Anshun (about 2.5 hours by car) Pingtang Tianyan (about 1.5 hours by car) Dushan
After breakfast, take the bus to Pingtang [arrive at Tianyan Scenic Spot] Tianyan is the world’s largest single aperture radio telescope. This project is a major national science and technology infrastructure construction project of the “11th Five Year Plan” jointly built by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the People’s Government of Guizhou Province. The FAST project, with independent intellectual property rights in China, is the world’s largest and most powerful single antenna radio telescope under construction and planned construction. The Xiaoqikong Ancient Bridge, built in the 15th year of the Qing Dynasty’s Daoguang reign (1835), was an important commercial and tourism transportation route from Qiannan to Guangxi, spanning the Xiangshui River. The bridge is 40 meters long, 2.2 meters wide, and 5.5 meters high, with an arched body and a delicate structure. The main attractions of the scenic area include 21 scenic spots, including Laya Waterfall, 68 level Waterfall, Stone Forest, Wild Boar Forest, Water Forest, Tianzhong Cave, Wolong Lake, Yuanyang Lake, etc. It is a perfect integration of various scenic spots, including mountains, water, caves, forests, lakes, waterfalls, and stones.
Afterwards, head to the 5A level tourist attraction of Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village. Here, you can learn about various intangible cultural heritage projects, including the design and processing of Miao silver jewelry forging, wax printing, embroidery, ancient papermaking, and bird cage production. Danzhai Miao wax printing and ancient papermaking have been listed as national intangible cultural heritage protection by the State Council.
Take children to experience the ancient Chinese paper-making hometown – experiencing the millennium old paper-making technique in karst caves – and learn papermaking. This place has been included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage protection list. {Papermaking is one of the the Four Great Inventions in ancient China and a great contribution of the Chinese nation to the world’s human civilization. Papermaking using bark, fir roots and clear river water as raw materials has a long history in China, and the folk craft of ancient papermaking in China is still intact in Guizhou. It has the characteristics of long fibers and high tensile strength, so ancient papermaking is known as the “living fossil” of ancient Chinese papermaking technology.
